What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things such as whether you are signed in. We also use similar browser storage for the same purposes.
We use no tracking
This website runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third party tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no heatmap or session recording tool. That is why you are not asked to accept cookies when you arrive: the only items we store are strictly necessary or functional ones inside the password protected editor area, which do not require consent. If we ever add analytics we will update this page and ask for your consent before anything is set.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auth session storage | Supabase stores the signed-in editor session in browser localStorage so the CMS stays authenticated securely. This is only set when an editor signs in at /auth. | Session to 7 days | Strictly necessary |
| Admin sidebar preference | Remembers whether the admin sidebar is open or collapsed. Only set inside the signed in editor area, never for public visitors. | Up to 1 year | Functional |
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings or privacy menu. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the sign-in area working properly. Public visitors, including anyone using the contact form, can browse and enquire with cookies blocked entirely.
More information
How we handle the personal data behind these cookies is set out in our privacy policy. Questions can go to hello@marcorichards.co.uk.
