Who we are

marco/richards is a public relations consultancy registered in England, based at 76 King Street, Manchester, M2 4NH. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@marcorichards.co.uk.

What we collect

• Enquiry details you send us through the contact form: your name, your company name, your email address, the service you are interested in and the enquiry message you write. Nothing else is required and we do not ask for special category data.
• Limited technical data needed to keep the form secure, such as a truncated record of the network address the submission came from, used only to prevent spam and abuse.
• Security logging: we keep short lived records of form submission attempts and blocked requests so we can detect abuse. These logs are purged automatically after 30 days.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking data. This website runs no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels and no third party trackers, so nothing is collected about how you browse the site.

Where it is stored

Contact form enquiries are sent directly to our own database, hosted on managed cloud infrastructure in the European Economic Area, and are readable only by named marco/richards staff who sign in with two factor authentication. Copies may also sit in our email system while we deal with your enquiry. We do not pass enquiries to any marketing platform.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to reply to you and to discuss potential work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Security data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we begin working together, in which case client records are kept for as long as required for tax and legal purposes, normally six years. Anti-spam records are deleted within 30 days. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that host this website and its database, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. Our providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@marcorichards.co.uk with the subject line "Data request" and we will respond within one month. Please tell us the name and email address you used so we can find your record. Requests are free. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data or our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies
